This drink can be enjoyed hot as well as cold. With or without ice. With some milk or without any milk. Tea can be flavored with various flavoring agents, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, etc. there are many ways of preparing tea and there are indeed many ways to drink it. Various cultures have various ways of drinking tea. Some have it in a small crucible, some like it in a china clay cup, while, some like it in a tall glass served with some lemon rind.

Coffee, on the other hand, is a bean, that is first roasted, then grounded and made in innumerable ways suiting various tastes and likes. Coffee is considered to be one of the most invigorating and energizing drinks and coffee has a history and traditional significance in certain cultures, older than of any other beverage or drink. Coffee is said to have medicinal properties as well and at the same time, there are certain health related issues associated with coffee consumption as well.

Both coffee and tea contain caffeine, over consumption of which can be quite harmful for health. So, all coffee and tea drinkers must know how much caffeine is going into their system and ensure that they know the limits of caffeine consumption well. On the other hand, the positive part of it lies in the medicinal properties if both tea and coffee. They both contain medicinal properties that have proved to be beneficial for the health of people. How to make Turkish Coffee?

 Coffee making is indeed a fine art. A change in the brewing method and the body of the coffee changes the way the coffee drink tastes and feels. The aroma, the flavor and the kick that it gives, all depend on the way the coffee is prepared. In this particular article, we shall teach you the perfect way to create a cup of Turkish coffee. Let us first take a look at the ingredients that are needed for making Irish coffee.

  • A copper ibrik, or a cezve. Make sure that the cezve has a long wooden handle.
  • Arabica coffee that is very finely ground. The coffee used for making Turkish coffee essentially needs to be very fine, even finer than the one used for making espresso.
  • A fincan. A demitasse is a little smaller than this one. So you would need to go for the larger traditional Turkish fincan.

           You will need one fincan of water for each person. So begin with pouring cold water into the ibrik. Turkish coffee is very strong. So even if you think that since you are an espresso drinker, you would be able to go without any sugar at all, you must re think and add some sugar to it. Stir the sugar, the water and the coffee till the three blends well together and a thick consistency is achieved. A maximum of 2 to 3 spoons of coffee needs to be added to the water. Now you need to brew it on heat. The coffee boils pretty fast and you need to pay real good attention to the brewing at this point. The moment it starts boiling and there is foam around the rim of the cup, you know that it is time to turn off the burner. Distribute the coffee into the fincans and serve with a glass of water. The water helps to enjoy the taste of the coffee better. The palate is refreshed and takes in the taste and the flavor of the coffee better.
